American Dairy Goat
Association
2005 is the year that ADGA
is opening a herd book for Nigerian Dwarf Goats... it should only
increase their exposure and popularity.
The American Goat Society
Inc. was founded some thirty years after AMGRA (later ADGA), because
hundreds of goat breeders wanted the assurance that their pedigreed
dairy goats would be handled as purebreds, not grades. Arthur H.
Lewis was the founder and first President of AGS. In 1937, AGS
merged with International Dairy Goat Record Association, which had
been established in 1925: so some of the pedigree records of AGS go
back over 70 years.
Dragonfly's HFX Carmen's second freshening udder is right on target and she gave me two exceptionally nice does, who I am retaining. This is one of my best prospects. Dragonfly has really hit their stride cleaning up in the show ring, including 2011 ADGA National Champion. Congrats Joanne!
I love my little
doe, Licorice, from Jasper Pines. The Sullivan's have
some bloodlines and pedigrees I am looking forward to working
with.
J-Nels is an up and coming herd owned by John and Judy Nelson. I met John at the 2007 AGS Nationals in Virginia and we have become good friends. I enjoyed spending time with John and Judy at the 2010 ADGA Nationals in Kentucky and the 2011 in Springfield. J-Nels won Reserve National Senior doe and Grand Champion National Junior doe. Way to go!
New
England Nigerian Dwarf Association
NENDA stands for New
England Nigerian Dwarf Association. NENDA is a breed club,
representing breeders and fanciers of this rare breed of goat.
Nigerians make excellent pets, wonderful milkers and contribute to
the world's diversity of species. And they are just plain cute.
The success of Rosasharn in New England and Nationally
speaks for itself!! They had an incredible showing at the ADGA 2010
Nationals. I love my doe Meadow and feel very lucky to have a
Tiger L daughter. I am hoping to add another Rosasharn doe to my
herd in 2011(or 2012) from Rosasharn WB B-Na!
